Friday Update 1/16/15

This week, we started enrichment! Four afternoons a week, students are participating in zumba and yoga, crocheting and yarn crafts, Minecraft, ipad photography, or newspaper. It's been a great first week!

Today we worked with our kindergarten buddies in Mrs. Mandujano's class in the computer lab. We see our buddies every Friday. We have so much fun with them!

Today, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, we listened to and read Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech. We also created found poetry using an iPad app called Word Mover. The poems were created using words from Dr. King's speech! They turned out great.

Friday Update 1/9/15

Hi this is Aliyah and Gia and we'll be talking about what we did over the week and before our break.

The day before winter break, we had a Christmas party. As you can see, we were dressing up like Christmas trees. Don’t they look good?

Making cookies

So much fun - people were making Christmas tree cookies.

Movie time - we were watching Elf.

hot chocolate - It was really good.

This week we did New Year resolutions. It had sections: 1 was highlights from 2014, another one was looking ahead in 2015, and the last one was my 2015 motto. We were also doing reflections.

We made collages with one word that is supposed to inspire you.
